Welcome to the website for the Bowling Club for the town of Moffat, Beattock and surrounding area. We welcome anyone who would like to try green bowls. The season ended on the 21st of September 2026. Next year bowling on the green will commence April 2027. The club has a very good clubhouse and over the winter months “short mat ” bowling can be played . There is a regular session at 2pm on a Tuesday over the winter.

Opening Day 2025

On Sunday 13th April Beechgrove Bowling Club opened for the 2025 bowling season. We had 40 bowlers on the green and many spectators, as always, providing expert commentary from outside the pavilion. We were honoured to have ex member, past president and Scottish International, Hugh Thomson opening the season and throwing the first bowl. He’s definitely still got the skills!M

Our Try Bowls events are open to all so please come along if you would like to try bowling for the first time or if you’re coming back to the sport after a break in playing. Everyone is welcome.
